30th Star – Wisconsin Sesquicentennial CD

Commissioned by the Wisconsin Sesquicentennial Committee, the Blue Canvas Orchestra and Singers performed this musical production in 1998 for sold-out crowds throughout Wisconsin.  With a stage cast of 14, these songs celebrate bygone Wisconsin, telling the stories of Wisconsin immigrants, Native Americans, lawmakers and more.  This CD is a live recording from the capital city of Madison, Wisconsin, performed in front of 2,200 guests one great October night at the Oscar Mayer Theatre.  It includes such favorites such as "Down the Home River," "Walkin' in Milwaukee," "Under the 30th Star."
